Court clerk - A court clerk or clerk of the court is an occupation whose responsibilities include maintaining the records of a court. Traditionally the clerk also was the custodian of the court's seal, which is used to authenticate copies of the court's orders, judgments and other records.

Court of record - In common law jurisdictions, a court of record is a court that keeps permanent records of its proceedings. Judgments of a trial court of record are normally subject to appellate review.

The court must have personal jurisdiction to enforce its judgments or orders against a party.

Judgment (Full Frame) : Pierre and Emmeline Guitry (Keith Carradine and Blythe Danner) are devoted to the Church - until one day their young son Robbie reveals a devastating secret. He and other children in the community have been molested by the parish priest. When the Guitry family goes to the Church in search of comfort, they are instead offered a financial settlement and no guarantee of justice. The families of the other abused children are willing to take the settlement, but the Guitrys decide to stand alone and fight for their beliefs.
